
Vilnius, Oct 27 (ELTA) - Lithuanian citizens will be able to enter the United States without visas from November 17, 2008, the representatives of the U.S. Embassy in Vilnius said on Monday.

Persons wishing to go to the U.S. will have to have biometric passports and will be able to stay a maximim of 90 days for the purposes of tourism, business and other personal travel The citizens of Lithuania going to the U.S. will have to use the Electronic System for Travel Authorization.

More details concerning the visa-free system will be announced by Michael Chertoff, Secretary of U.S. Department of Homeland Security, who will visit Vilnius later this week.
