The Lithuanians: Lithuanian Picnic BBQ -Revised

Lithuanian Picnic BBQ at a campsite [Revised*]

Ingredients:

  1. Garlic - diced chunky
  2. Pork Ribs - 2.25 Pounds [ 1kg] - portion is for three
  3. Onion - 1/2 onion finely diced
  4. Dill - Fresh Sprig diced
  5. Thyme - sprig diced [Čiobreliai ]
  6. Vegetable Oil 1/2 cup - base of marinade
  7. Soy - several table spoons -don't over power
  8. French mustard - Dijon
  9. Salt - several pinches
  10. Pepper - to season
Mix above with ribs and marinate 1/2 hour - start before lighting grill - light grill

  1. Place ribs on hot grill, place marinated herbs on ribs - herbs will flavor meat.
  2. Cook about 1/2 hour - to color of ribs
  3. Flip over ribs - add marinated herbs on other side to flavor ribs.
* REVISED: The Herb we were not sure of - Čiobreliai was found to be Thyme. Thanks to all the research of several individuals, Terese and Ray. It's nice to be able to correct /revise postings. The original post on June 26 was updated / revised for this herb.
