Virgis Stakenas and Vitas Underys [USA]
8th Annual Festival - "Akaciju Aleja"

Virgis Stakenas appeared on "Labas Rytas" Lithuanian Television Friday as Guest along with Vitas Underys from the USA. You will see and hear both sing a song each on this occasion. See this segment.
They were interviewed by the MC of the show, Zivile Vaskyte.
Virgis came on the show to promote the start of the 8th Annual Festival " Akaciju Aleja" on Saturday July 5, 2008. He expects a larger gathering than the 5,000 that came last year and recommended that those planning to attend arrive early to avoid traffic snarls and parking problems.
There will be 17 participants competing for the Festival's title and Virgis displayed the prize medallion.
Vitas Underys was there last year as an observer and asked Virgis if he could play. He sent Virgis a sample of his works and ended up being invited as one of the seventeen competitors / participants. Vitas's parents were born in Lithuania, while he was born in Chicago, USA. Zivile was very surprised when he spoke Lithuanian fluently and made a comment to that effect, as to how well he spoke Lithuanian. [NB: Many of use do speak very good Lithuanian outside Lietuva and we improve upon it with practice and use - this is our purpose here -]
