The Lithuanians: Coming Events in August and September Frackville, Lithuanian Days and Brockton Labor Day Picnic

There will be several coming events.

This Labor Day, September 6, Brockton Massachusetts, one of the earliest areas settled by Lithuanian immigrants, will hold the Brockton Labor Day Picnic on the Convent Grounds of Sisters of Jesus Crucified. It was the Sisters that began the Labor Day Picnic in 1946.

The Sisters were instrumental in education thousands of children and instilling in them the basic values we hold dear today.

I was very fortunate to experience their valued teaching skills at St Peter School in South Boston, Massachusetts. Hope to see some of you in Brockton this Labor Day.

Then there will will be the Frackville, PA 96th Annual Lithuanian Days: August 14 & August 15 2010.
Be sure to locate Millie Markauskaite Heldt from Philadelphia, PA. She is an avid supporter of "The Lithuanians" and the Heritage Club in Phillie with many Lithuanian programs. Millie has attended the Frackville Lithuanian Days for many years.

You can always find many interesting gems at "TheLithuanians" website, from Language Lessons, the Library, TLTV The Lithuanians Voice Radio Broadcasts, Panorama NEWS from Lithuania, Kamera 1 and Kamera 2 with unexpected videos and more. Browse this resource including the BLOGSPOT
